Do not identify yourself or other members you may know using full names. Feel free to use a fictitious name, social media handle, or other identifier that the community can recognize you as. We want to keep you and your family safe.

Do not use names of your children; biological, foster, or adopted. We recommend using designators such as: FS (foster son), FD (foster daughter), AD (adopted daughter), AS (adopted son), BS (biological son), or BD (biological daughter). You can add a number after the designator to indicate the child’s age. Example: FD12 would indicate your foster daughter of age 12.

Do not use names of children’s parents, agency workers, attorneys, judges, or any other individuals involved in your child’s case.

Please keep the confidential information about your child’s case confidential. You can speak in general terms such as “Our FS2 came to us with drug exposure during pregnancy and exhibits difficult behaviors we would like to help him with.” In this example it would not be appropriate to state the child’s name or the specific drug(s) his birth mother abused.

This community is used to encourage and inspire our fellow foster parents with positive words. Please refrain from behavior that is judgmental, rude, belittling, or negative in any other manner. This behavior has no place in our community and offenders will be removed.

This is a private community where only members have access, therefore taking screenshots in the membership area or sharing any conversations or content is prohibited.
